#SmellsLikeChange

Source: commoditygoods.com via Commodity on Pinterest

Bespoke is the new name of the game! Everything is moving towards a perfect fit and being custom made, and why should your fragrance be any different? Just in time for the changing weather, Commodity is offering just that.  Aimed to change the way we try and buy our fragrances, Commodity is “Premium scents tailored to your style and delivered to your door.”

Their process is streamlined and simple. They send you mini samples of each of their 10 scents (different scents for men and women), you wear each scent for a day, and once you decide which scents you like you simply pick what size you want and poof! It shows up at your door.

Now I haven’t gotten a chance to smell the scents yet, but they have some that sound like they smell great. For the men they have scents such as whiskey, cane and book while for the ladies they feature scents tea, pinot and magnolia among others. There are also a few unisex scents, which are wool, moss, gold and paper.  And if that was a little too many options for you, they will help you find your scent profile and choose scents based on your style.

As a cherry on top, they do all of this for less than you would pay for a simple bottle at a high-end retailer.  A set of three 30ml roller bottles and a carrying case is only $50!

And just in case you still need convincing to try Commodity out, here are three more fun facts:

  1. They provide free shipping to anywhere in the US
  2. The Scents are bottled in California (Woo-Hoo!!)
  3. They are made with organic alcohol that is environmentally-friendly and non-allergenic.

p.s. – I for one am curious to see what would happen when you started layering scents.  What do you guys think?

Jammin’ All Night!

jambox-silver

For those of you looking for a last minute gift idea for that special guy in your life, or maybe just a good friend, or even just someone who loves always having music around them, I have just the thing!

Now this is a gift that I would personally love to receive (hint, hint). So I am sure that there are plenty of other people who would also love to receive it.  What I am speaking of is the Jawbone JAMBOX.  In a nutshell, it is a portable speaker that connects to any Bluetooth device or any 3.5 mm device.

What makes this speaker so much better than any other (other than its amazing exterior) lies on the inside of it.  According to Jawbone, the “JAMBOX is powered by a pair of proprietary, highly sophisticated acoustic drivers, unmatched in their ability to produce extreme high (tweeter) and low (woofer) frequencies from a single, ultra-small dome speaker”… which I translate as “it sounds really good.”  And from the in store test I have heard, I would have to agree.  This is one of the best portable speakers that I have heard.

On top of that, it is also the only smart speaker on the planet.  What that means is that when you plug it in to your computer, you can update it and it will learn from you, making it a truly personal experience.

The other feature that makes it special is the Bluetooth.  Because it connects wirelessly you are able to take it anywhere you want without any hassle.  You are also able to use it for much more than music.  Think gaming, movies, YouTube and because of the JAMBOX’s built in microphone it becomes a great hands free device for conference calls or even just using Skype® with a friend.

So there you have it, my number one gift pick!

Happy Shopping!

Giant Leap?

So I just saw one of the most amazing things, and I think that the world should know about it!  The Leap. Simple, sleek, minimalist design… this could change the way we (humans) use computers.  The best way to describe it would be a Kinect (the camera thing you use in conjunction with your Xbox) for your computer.
