My sister had to make these adorable cookies for her sister-in-laws babies first birthday, so I tagged along to watch how she did it so we could share with all of you.  The recipe is below, hope you all enjoy!!

Ingredients need to make cookies:

2 ¾ cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup butter (room temperature)
1 ½ cup sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
black fondant
white fondant
food color (for the bows)

Supplies you will need:

Roller
Mickey Mouse cookie cutter
bow mold

First you will start by sifts together the flour, baking soda and salt.  Put dry mixture aside while you begin to mix all other ingredients.  Next in a standard mixer mix your sugar, egg and vanilla all together on medium high speed.  When the wet ingredients are all mixed together go ahead and add the flour mixture to this mix and continue to blend together.  When it is all fully mixed roll your dough out about ½ inch thick and use a Mickey Mouse cookie cutter to cut out cookies.  Once you have cut out all of your cookies place the pan in the oven and bake on 400 degrees for 6-7 minutes or until golden brown.  Take cookies out and let cool.

While cookies are baking take your black fondant and roll out, then begin to use a smaller Mickey Mouse cookie cutter to cut the inside part of Minnie’s face out (if you do not have different size cookie cutters go ahead and free hand this part, they are just circles).  Next take the white fondant and mix it with the food coloring of your choice.  Once this is fully mixed take the fondant and put it in the bow molds.  When cookies are fully cooled, take the cookie and take the black fondant cut out and place the fondant on the cookie sealing it with a dab or two of water.  Lastly, place a bow on each ear and seal with water to stick. (Optional: sprinkle bow with sparkles of any color)
