Cold Winter Days

Oh how I love winter! Something about the cold air just makes me happy, I love being able to bundle up and take a trek outside.  People always try to convince me that heat is better than cold, but my argument is always “If you are cold, you can add layers.  If you are hot, you can only take off so much.”  Of course, in Fresno, we don’t have “real” cold, so that could be why I like it.  We don’t have to deal with snow and it will rarely drop below 30 degrees, but regardless, this outfit was all about staying warm.  I started with my chunky turtleneck sweater and added pieces around that.  The vest is to keep my core extra toasty, the beanie is to stop heat from leaving from my head, the boots and socks to prevent my toes from freezing.  And let me just say, I was rather warm, I will definitely be ready for the next time I go up to the snow!

I hope you guys are having as much fun as I am bundling up this winter. Just remember to stay warm!

-Micah

You look really cozy a cute! Reading your post made me think of winter, real winter(I’m originally from Russia and spent about 19 years og my life there before moving to the US) I don’t quite love winter for that reason(its suuuper cold there!) but you might love it – the air is crispy and the sound of snow under your feet when you walk feels surreal)))

Thanks! I’m glad I could remind you of real winter. And that sounds surreal!! Me and my sister are headed to New York this week, so I am hoping to experience a bit of a “real winter.”
